We then delve into important art movements of the 20th century, The Bengal School, Jamini Roy, Amrita Shergill, and finally the progressive movements in the 1940s. This was followed by the rise of abstract art in India in the period 1950-70s, and finally we take stock of new directions in the 1980s and post-liberalisation India.<\/p>\n<p>Browsing through an impressive collection of art representing these various periods, we will also learn to appreciate their beauty and revel in the realm of detail.
